Ground Work Developments delivering a high-quality reinforced concrete retaining wall on a steep, heavily vegetated site in West Auckland where access and space were extremely limited. From excavation to final shaping, the team managed every stage with precision. The wall was fully formed, reinforced, and poured on-site using engineered systems that ensured accuracy and a clean finish. Our crew coordinated plant, formwork and staging to keep the project moving safely and efficiently. Once the concrete cured, the structure was stripped and backfilled, revealing a strong, tidy retaining wall that significantly improves the stability and usability of the property.

Construction
Ground Work Developments recently delivered a piled retaining wall project in a constrained Auckland coastal environment. Works included excavation, concrete piling, drainage installation, timber lagging and building platform formation. The site required careful coordination due to tight access, soft ground and close proximity to existing buildings. Our team installed concrete piles using specialised plant, followed by timber lagging and a full subsoil drainage system. Once structural works were complete, we formed and compacted a new level platform ready for future construction. Despite challenging ground conditions and a high-sensitivity coastal setting, the project was delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
